Billing & Payment
How paying for a consultation or test works, and what to ask us about insurance.
The Neuro Lab does not currently have a confirmed cashless or TPA insurance empanelment. This page will be updated as soon as one is in place.
How billing works today
Consultations and tests are billed directly at the centre. If you hold a health insurance policy, you can still claim on a reimbursement basis using the bills and reports we provide — check your policy's reimbursement process with your insurer before you claim, as the documents each insurer wants differ.
What we give you for a claim
- An itemised bill for the consultation and for each test performed.
- The report for every study, signed by the reporting specialist.
- The prescription or referral that led to the test, where one exists.
Keep the originals together. A reimbursement claim is usually refused for missing paperwork rather than for the treatment itself, and reissuing a document months later takes longer than holding on to it.
Asking what something costs
Ask when you book, not on the day. Charges depend on the study — a routine EEG, a longer video EEG and a nerve study with needle EMG are different pieces of work — and a home or bedside visit may carry a travel charge, which is confirmed with you before the appointment is arranged. The front desk will tell you the figure over the phone so there is no surprise at the counter.
Test prices and what is included sets out what a charge covers and what changes it, so the number you are quoted makes sense when you hear it.
Questions about a specific insurer
Call us with your policy details at 6909748687 or theneurolabtripura@gmail.com and we will confirm what is currently possible. We would rather tell you now that a policy will not work here than have you find out after the test.
