Home EEG Test in Agartala

Some patients cannot come to a diagnostic room — and for them an EEG can sometimes be recorded at their own address instead. "Sometimes" is the honest word: availability depends on the address, the patient and the day, and is confirmed case by case rather than promised in advance.

Who it is for

• Patients who cannot travel because of illness or limited mobility.
• Elderly patients for whom the journey itself is the hardest part of the test.
• Children who record far better in a familiar room than in a clinic.
• Patients recently discharged, where a follow-up recording is needed but travel is not yet sensible.

How it is arranged

Call or WhatsApp us with three things: the test needed, the patient's condition, and the address. We check whether that study can be arranged at that location and on what timeline, and tell you before anything is booked. Where it can go ahead, our own technologist attends with portable equipment, and the recording is reported by our specialist exactly as one made at the centre would be.

Preparing the room

Very little is needed, but these help:

• Hair washed, dry, and free of oil, gel or cream — the same rule as at the centre, and the most common reason a recording disappoints. See EEG preparation.
• A quiet room where the patient can lie or sit comfortably for 30–45 minutes, with a power point nearby.
• Television, fan noise and visitors kept down for the duration.
• Previous reports and the current medicine list to hand.

What a home study cannot do

Not every test travels. Recordings that need extended monitoring, synchronised video or overnight staffing belong at the centre — a video EEG and an overnight sleep study are the usual examples. If a home visit is not the right way to answer your question, we will say so rather than arrange a study that will not help.
